BOCA Group proudly welcomed Kevin Kane this summer as our 2026 Project Engineer Intern. He is entering his senior year at Manhattan College, where he is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. As he returns to school this fall, he is looking forward to sharing his experience at BOCA Group with one of his professors, who also has a background in the elevator industry. 

His passion for mechanical engineering began while building a LEGO car with a working engine and differential. Seeing how the moving parts worked together sparked his curiosity about machinery and inspired him to pursue engineering. 

Throughout his internship, Kevin has enjoyed the hands-on experiences, particularly attending site visits, in-person meetings, and ride quality evaluations. He has gained valuable technical knowledge about elevator systems and components while developing professional communication skills through collaborating with colleagues and interacting with clients. One of his biggest takeaways has been seeing firsthand, through site visits and traffic studies, how city buildings accommodate thousands of people and how elevators keep them moving through the building every day.

The BOCA Group team appreciated having Kevin on board, and we thank him for all of his hard work and dedication throughout this summer. We are grateful for his contributions to the team and are excited to see what is next for him!
